Teens will learn how to make their own bag from a recycled T-shirt and keep plastic bags out of landfills and oceans! Staff will show you how it's possible to recycle T-shirts by turning them into stylish and functional bags! Even better, this fun craft can help keep plastic bags out of landfills and even our oceans! This project does not require any sewing, just some cutting of the shirts and tying a few knots! Participants will need to bring their own shirts to use, and we'll supply the scissors and show you how it works. This event is open to teens entering 6th grade thru 12th. No registration required.
